
First 5K Run
I DID IT! I ran my first 5K. It felt awesome. The weather was perfect even if my hands did freeze during the first half of it, the trail was pretty, there were quite a few people, and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. I guess that training really worked, huh. I ran with my dad while my mom walked, she had such a good time that she wants to do it again next year.
I feel like I could have picked up my speed during the run…I didn’t want to start out too fast and then burn out and not be able to finish, so I took it nice and easy…I know I’m a slow runner anyway. I could have kicked it up a notch – maybe next time.
Off to do some homework and maybe squeeze in some knitting…(grabs the wine glass on her way downstairs)
