Keep it Quiet

I just finished this for my grandparent’s Christmas gift:

I wasn’t sure I was going to get it done, but I finally just sat down and started on it, and it didn’t take too long.  Around 2 hours? The photo was taken at the Richmond Fall Festival, I had it printed on fabric and I picked [...]

Finished Cardigan!

I finished the cardigan…although I’m not sure if I did the shawl collar right the second time around (I know I definitely got it all wrong the first time).  Here it is, blocking:

And this is what it looks like on:

Pattern: on Ravelry.  Yarn: Cascade 220.  Needles: US7.  Mods: I added an inch to the [...]

Lace Ribbon Scarf

I realized that I forgot to post about my finished lace ribbon scarf. I was making it as a gift for my mom, but then while my parents were visiting a few weekends ago she found it.  Silly me, leaving it on the bookshelf and totally forgetting about it.  She saw it and snatched it [...]

Handdyed falkland: 4 oz, 270 yards, 14 wpi (about sportweight)

My first Sesame came out a bit too fitted, so I hardly ever wear it. Such a shame, because I love simple black cardis. I soaked her in some water and baby shampoo and then stretched her out on the blocking board. Hopefully it’ll be a bit looser so I’ll wear it. [...]

Sesame II FO

Yarn: Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece in Putty
Needles: US6 circs
Pattern: Sesame (my second)
Size: 40″ bust
I made the sweater a couple inches longer, other than that I followed the pattern. I love this pattern. It’s simple and comes together pretty quickly. I can wear it to work or at home…points for the double duty. [...]
